ATLANTA, GA (Vocus/PRWEB) August 2, 2010 — Atlanta School of Massage welcomes seven new members to its Program Advisory Committee (PAC). The goal of this committee is to ensure continued excellence in massage therapy education and student achievement outcomes at Atlanta School of Massage.

PAC members are a diverse group of individuals who all contribute to the validation and improvement of the programs at Atlanta School of Massage and its skincare division Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics. PAC members are representatives from the employment community and practitioners who provide meaningful reviews of the school’s skin care and massage therapy education programs and supporting resources and materials.

The following individuals are new PAC members:

  • Kimmie Russell – President and Founder, GAAP (Georgia Alliance of Aesthetic Professionals), licensed Esthetician and Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics graduate
  • Lourdes Iglesias – Massage Therapist and Medical Esthetician, Youthtopia Med Spa, Atlanta School of Massage and Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics graduate
  • Leah Zonker – Georgia Educator and Territory manager, Image Skin Care
  • Aaron J. Rhodes – Membership Secretary, AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) Georgia Chapter, Massage Therapist and Atlanta School of Massage graduate
  • John Kossenyans – Spa Sales Manager, Ritz Carlton Reynolds-Plantation
  • Shannon Grant – Owner, Art of Touch Massage Center
  • Kat Flynt – Independent Make-up Artist and Licensed Esthetician

The following individuals will continue their tenure as PAC members:

  • Christine Manella – Physical Therapist and Massage Therapist, Shepherd Spine Center
  • Cheryl Appleberry – Program Coordinator, Graduate Sports Medicine, Georgia State University
  • Joey Detenber – Spa Director, Bliss Atlanta Downtown
  • Tiffany Taft – Senior Business Consultant, Jane Iredale

PAC members bi-annually review the established curriculum of the Atlanta School of Massage and Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics programs. Meetings include discussion of program objectives, program length, curriculum content, learning resources and the adequacy of facilities and equipment. Members review and comment on graduate employment and state licensing examinations outcomes of each program.
