Esthetician Instructor Program

As a student instructor, all training and work-study hours will be under the supervision of a licensed esthetician/cosmetology instructor.

The curriculum consists of scheduled classroom theory and practicum, work study hours as an Instructor’s assistant, to be completed in no less than ten months, attaining the required 600 clock hours of training per Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, a division of Atlanta School of Massage.

Program Requirements/Enrollment Qualifications

  • Have 2.5 years of work experience as a licensed esthetician or cosmetologist in a spa or salon setting (that can be documented via resume and affidavit)
  • A current Georgia Esthetician or Georgia Cosmetology license.
  • Be at least 22 years of age to enroll.
  • Show English proficiency via online ESL testing.

To receive a certificate of completion and application to schedule both licensing exams, the following must be completed:

  1. 600 clock hours
  2. Completion of 18 Milady’s exams with an 80% GPA
  3. Completion of 185 Esthetics Instructor Program classroom hours
    • Classroom time will be held on campus and/or digitally for 20-24 Mondays for 6 hours for the duration of the program.
  4. Completion Work Study hours totaling 375 must be completed as an assistant instructor in the program.
  5. Regular attendance of agreed upon work-study schedule.
  6. Signed Promissory Note and Employment Commitment Agreement
